What do you think when you hear the phrase “style sheets”? If you’re not an editor, you might picture this:

Alas. A style sheet in publishing is a document where you keep track of all your editorial decisions regarding spelling, punctuation, italicization, and even types of citations. It helps you maintain consistency, and it allows other editors to jump in on the project at various stages.
